Dear Customer:

The following information is to inform our new customers about the qualifications of MTS to service microscopes and microtomes.

I established MTS in 1974 after two years of employment with E. Leitz, Inc.  I received service training from E. Leitz’s main office in Rockleigh, New Jersey in November 1974 and on several other occasions.  The most recent trainings have been in Wetzlar Germany in 2007, Chaciago in 2009 and Heerbrugg Switzerland in 2001.  This training has included the complete biological and industrial line of stands, cameras and microtomes.  I have also received post bachelor studies in electronics and computer technology.

Technicians from MTS have received training from, Leitz, Nikon, Olympus, LKB, Bausch & Lomb and others.  For the last thirty years MTS has serviced all major brands of microscopes.  We perform electronic repairs on instruments such as the Nikon FXA, the Olympus Vanox and the Leitz DM-RXA.

MTS has a well equipped service shop including a Tektronic 100Mz digital storage oscilloscope with programmed computers for automated test and calibration procedures.   Our on site machine shop includes a lathe, milling machine, drill press and other tools for repairs and custom fabrication.  We stock over 2400 different repair part numbers.

MTS is positioned to supply prompt service to our customers.  Our driving time within the Houston/College Station/Galveston area is less than two hours.  With the use of our private aircraft our travel time to all of Texas and surrounding states is just a few hours.

MTS is a debt free Texas Corporation.  We strive to please our customers.  If you have an old microscope that others have stated that it cannot be repaired contact us.  We may be able to put new life in that old microscope.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
